Our Colombian coffee beans are a Merlo classic, and they're now available as a light (or filter) roast.
During the roasting process, coffee beans lose moisture and begin to expand and crack. Typically, the beans will crack twice, but in the case of our Colombian Light Roast, the roast is stopped just before the 'second crack'.
This brings out the fruity notes and results in a brighter tasting coffee which is softer on the palate and has a much crisper finish - perfect for a filter coffee.
Farmed in an ideal coffee growing climate, this bean yields an intense aroma, rich flavour and excellent balance of acidity and body. A well-rounded coffee with sweet chocolate and clean fruit flavours.
