Merlo is once again a proud supporter of the Cycle of Giving fundraising event happening in Brisbane this year on Sunday 10 March.
The annual ride raises money for the Prince Charles Hospital Foundation in the hope that more people will get a second chance at life through an organ transplant. Cycle of Giving has made a huge impact on the community thanks to the funds raised in previous years. In 2018 alone, the funds contributed to an equivalent 4,800 hours of crucial organ research time, including studies on advancements in heart pump technology.
With over 1,400 Australians on the waiting list for a new organ or tissue donation at any one time, we still have a long way to go.
“We’ve been supporting the Cycle of Giving for a number of years and it’s something we’re extremely proud of. The funds raised from this important event will have such an impact on the research that is able to be undertaken.” Merlo CEO James Wilkinson said.
