Merlo celebrates 25 years

In November of 1992, Dean Merlo brought a little bit of freshness into Brisbane’s café culture by opening a vibrant espresso bar in busy Queen Street.

In the 25 years that followed, Dean and his team went on to roast their own coffee, create a full collection of unique blends, open 15 more Merlo Coffee locations and employ more than 250 people – all the while sharing their passion and enthusiasm for all things coffee with you.

So last Friday night Dean, Merlo CEO James Wilkinson, some of the Merlo team and a few special guests let their hair down to celebrate the amazing milestone of 25 years with a little soiree at the Fortitude Valley Torrefazione.
